At The Yoga Shala a team of experienced Yoga teachers shares their passion for Yoga with students of all levels of experience in a serene and peaceful environment. Classes include Ashtanga Yoga, Yin Yoga,  Meditation/Pranayama, Hatha Yoga, Dynamic & Gentle Flow classes, Pregnancy & Mum's Yoga classes.

Our classes use the breath as a tool to create internal awareness and focus. We see Yoga as a way of building and maintaining strength, flexibility and self-awareness, creating a path towards compassion, respect and a deepened understanding of life.

Our teachers are qualified and experienced, with continued professional development a priority. We aim to provide a welcoming, caring and safe environment for your yoga practice.

All teachers at The Yoga Shala draw on their own long-term regular yoga pratice for their teaching. Our teachers are qualified and continue to build their knowledge and understanding of this ancient practice through regular yoga practice, study and by attending workshops with senior teachers.

  • Yoga has made me stronger physically, mentally and spiritually
    I had tried yoga before and had enjoyed it but something seemed to be missing from the practice. When I came to practice Ashtanga yoga with Denis for the first time, I properly connected the movement and the asanas with my breath. The practice seemed to suddenly make sense: every movement linked inextricably to either an inhalation or an exhalation. Somehow powerful, calming and invigorating at the same time. Yoga has helped me through some tough times recently (probably with more grace and acceptance than if I did not have a reasonably established practice)
