Yin & Yang
Yin & Yang balances our needs for movement with our need to relax deeply nd go inward. In this class Mary-Ann combines long-held, passive Yin Yoga postures with more active, dynamic Yang sequences removing energy blockages and promoting the flow of energy around the body.
Even when two equal weights are placed in the pans of a scale there is oscillation around the mid- point - this rebalancing symbolises the return to wholeness and health. The ancient Chinese philosophers called this the Dao. The Dao is the tranquility found in the centre of all events, and the path leading to the centre. Like the eye of the storm, the centre is always there even if we are not always there to enjoy it.
