Yin & Yang
Join Mary-Ann for a 4-week course in which we prepare for the festive period and gather ourselves for the new year. Starting on Monday 26th November at 5.30 pm and running weekly through to Monday 17th December, classes will focus on cultivating balance and perspective.
Each 75 minute class will balance long-held, passive Yin Yoga postures with more active, dynamic Yang sequences removing energy blockages and promoting the flow of energy around the body.
Even when two equal weights are placed in the pans of a scale there is oscillation around the mid- point - this rebalancing symbolises the return to wholeness and health. The ancient Chinese philosophers called this the Dao. The Dao is the tranquility found in the centre of all events, and the path leading to the centre. Like the eye of the storm, the centre is always there even if we are not always there to enjoy it.
